a sprinkle a day.....

Cookie says, "Sprinkles are like glitter.... for food."

This pile of colorful sprinkles are left over (spillage) from the cupcake decorating that went DOWN last night.
Sweetheart, Fifi, and Cookie invited some friends over for a HUGE slept over party (I don't think they slept much though..... plenty of giggle-YES)
It was more like a make-over, dress up, nail salon, cupcake kind of night.

The house smelled yummy from baking cupcakes.
If only they made a perfume from that scent.

Special thanks to Fifi, Sweetheart, Cookie and their friends who did a great job tidying up afterwards.

We're lucky to have each udder....

We're eating dinner out tonight.
What to wear???
What to wear???

How about something black
 and white
perhaps with some spots
a cow bell and some furry ears???

Mooooo...nificent!

Sounds like appropriate attire for a meal at Chick-fil-A.

Once a year Chick-fil-A celebrates Cow Appreciation Day.
They award a FREE Meal to customers who come dressed as a cow!

So my kiddos decided it would be FUN to dress like a cow for dinner.

INTRODUCING...

Moooo-vie Star Cookie

Marilyn Moooo-nroe

Mooo-na Lisa

Deja Mooo---wait, that's not Deja--- how about Hanna Mooo-tana
(Sweetheart's best friend joined us)

If you ask me I think black and white are a definite and appropriate fashion statement for dinner.
Yummy!!
Bammy and I were feeling far too bashful to pull off udders and spots.....so we payed for our meals.
Here are a few jokes the girls entertained us with over dinner.

Why do cows wear bells??
-----Because their horns don't work-----

What do you call a cow that just had a baby??
-----Decalfinated-----

Why does a milking stool have only three legs?
-----Because the cow has the udder-----

Rain, Rain, go away......

Independence Day in NM......

It's NOT hot and it's NOT humid like NYC (where we spent 4th of July last summer)
It's a little chilly and very rainy.
Today we're at the ranch in Vanderwagen with Nana and Cheii.

The smell of rain in July is sooo beautiful......
We weren't sure what we'd be able to do after such a drenching day of rain.
Despite the wet weather Bam and I went to the local firework tent, to see what we could see...
This is the firework haul we brought back.
Obviously we have high hopes of the rain letting up later this evening.

The girls made the most of a rainy day by crafting.....

But crafting super cute 4th of July headbands didn't seem to put a smile on that face.....

"When will it stop raining!!!!"
Princess Fifi, Sweetheart and Cookie decided instead to bake a patriotic cake... a favor we look forward to every year.

Nana decided to cheer up the girls by having an indoor picnic with fried chicken with all the extras.
(by the way the cake was delish...... )
But as the day went on...  wet and muddy.

But the show must go on....

POW!!

BOOM!!

KABANG!!

AHHHH!!
All the pretty colors...
Bam and I had a great time attempting to light those fireworks.
We tried to keep good timing and to keep our audience attention.
Nana and Cheii LOVED having us for Independence day this year!
We ended up having a great time..... The rain was NOT going to limit our FUN!

Now here's the smiles that melt my heart...

raindrops keep fallin' on my head....

Ball game day...

Game tonight at 7:05pm..... "Woo! Woo! 'Topes!!"
Tonight's game
Albuquerque Isotopes v. New Orleans Zephyrs
Take me out to the ballgame...

Joining us tonight is little Miss Katia--Sweetheart's best friend (BFF)

"Mmm... dipping' dots are so very yummy"

What started off as a perfect blue sky day changed as dark clouds slowly moved in overhead.

A fly ball was hit by the New Orleans Zephyrs right into our club seating area just as Princess Fifi was taking a pic of Sweetheart......... (I absolutely love her expression) LUCK for us-- we have Bam. He caught the ball...GREAT CATCH, Son!!

After that fly ball scare, the girls decided to take a break at the ball park playground.

Princess Fifi captured this image of the girls enjoying
the game up top the playground structure.
RAIN!!
First it came down very light-- but within minutes it was pouring!!
We raced from the stands to the concourse to seek shelter from the rain and lightening.
While we ran the Isotopes field crew raced out on to the field to place a very, very LARGE tarp over the field. It was very impressive!

--WE ARE CURRENTLY IN A RAIN DELAY THANK YOU FOR YOUR PATIENCE--
Waiting the rain we decided to peruse the gift shop and stroll the concourse

"Mommy look at me!"

"Mommy, isn't this mini pink baseball bat the cutest!"

"Mommy, Bart's mom is sharing a cola with us."

It's official the game is canceled---
Isotopes memories shall have to continue another day.

ROARING good time.....

Tonight we were invited to a private reception dinner.....at the ZOO.
We came prepared with our picnic blanket, sunblock........and appetite!
It was an evening of cool temperature -- no mosquitos--and on stage entertainment.
The reception was hosted by the Indian Education Department of APS (Albuquerque Public Schools) in honor of the Native American Scholars in the district.
That was us..... we were included along with other natives students in the area for ACADEMIC AND SCHOLASTIC ACHIEVEMENTS during the 2011 / 2012 school year.

My children have been recognized yearly so we have always looked forward to this reception dinner.

-------------------
We enjoyed hearing the squeals of the chimpanzees and the roar of the lions from beyond the big wall near the amphitheater area.... where we enjoyed our dinner.
Besides the animals at the zoo..... there were face painters, painting the children's little faces....we had a great time!!
Grrrrr....

 Tigger or Sweetheart???

Happy Mum's Day

Good day....
 Doggie loves his mama

Today we've left town to see Nana (aka my mom)

Balloons, stuffy and sweet fruit....... Mmmmm

We wanted to surprise her (and Cheii)

Even cat's love their mom

Bam, Fifi, Sweetheart and Cookie made her cards and crafted little objects of love just for her....

Filling the room with the smell of fresh flowers.....just for Mom

We also brought her flowers and took her out to lunch.
(at our favorite super special super secret Mother's day location)
We were only able to stay for just a few hours.....
We love you Nana
(I love you Mom)
Happy Day

my love my life....

"But Mummy, every day is mother's day...."
That's why I feel so loved every single day....... I have these little smiling faces in my life.
I was chosen to be here for them.
It was destiny....
I ♥ being Mom
Tomorrow is "officially" mother's day..... I feel so fortunate for being a MOMMY.
I certainly don't have to wait a whole year...... to know I'm appreciated!
My heart skips a beat for these little faces of mine.....
I live and breath the essence of motherhood and loving every single minute.
Thank you--Bam, Fifi, Sweetheart, and Cookie for being my world.
Mommy loves you more than anything or anybody could possibly.

FYI
The Albuquerque Isotopes are a minor league baseball team based in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The team, which plays in the Pacific Coast League, is the Triple-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Dodgers. Albuquerque was previously represented in the PCL as a Dodgers' affiliate by the Albuquerque Dukes, who won several PCL championships in the 1970s and 1980s before relocating to Portland, Oregon, as the Portland Beavers in 2001. The Isotopes began play in 2003 when the Calgary Cannons relocated to New Mexico.
The fictional Springfield Isotopes from the long running TV series The Simpsons was the influence for the new name of the team. In the episode "Hungry, Hungry Homer", main character Homer Simpson attempts to thwart the team's plan to move to Albuquerque by going on a hunger strike. Subsequently, when an Albuquerque Tribune online survey helped the team decide its new name, "Isotopes" received 67 percent of the 120,000 votes.[1]
Though team president Ken Young admitted that the name came from the series,[2] he said at the name's unveiling, "We picked it because over the past year it has become a popular name, and it does have something to do with Albuquerque."[3] The "Isotopes" name is appropriate, since New Mexico has a number of well-known scientific/military facilities dealing with nuclear technology, such as Los Alamos National LaboratorySandia National Laboratories, and the Waste Isolation Pilot Project (WIPP), as well as hosting the Trinity test.
