think happy thoughts.....

One week (and counting).... as I begin the prep for our vacation, I find myself staring off into space.

I just get so caught up in thinking of the stuff we'll need. 

Packing is so much fun for me.... (I know some people could careless)
Not I...
 it means I'm ready to set off on another adventure in life with some of my favorite little people......my children.

Bam, Fifi, Sweetheart and Cookie are so super excited.

Every turn is something new, every day is ready to bloom into something wonderful.

As I stand here smiling to myself, Sweetheart comes into the room and asks me if I'm okay

".....oh mommy is just day dreaming"

the anticipation and excitement fills my heart 

Summer vacation is a great escape from our daily lives and a well deserved time away.
 We all work very hard at school and at home.

Other than that....... what's life without some ADVENTURE and FUN once a year.

Things I love about SUMMER:

The feel of the warm summer sun kissing your face and arms

The smell of freshly cut grass

NO SCHOOL..... having my kiddos all to myself

 No rush, No fuss, No big deal

Day dreaming, picnic-ing and blowing dandelions in the breeze

You'd think today is a Friday or a weekend.....BUT today is only Thursday!!

So....

One year ago, I was packing for our family vacation to NYC.

I was frantically making sure everything was packed and neatly tucked away.

It's amazing that exactly one year later...... nothing could be more opposite than a day like today.

Relaxing... nothing but carefree thoughts and perfectly content children.

Also... TODAY marks our ONE YEAR BLOG ANNIVERSARY.

The school year is winding down....

I can't believe that school is almost out for

the SUMMER.... in just about a month.

Fifi has a spring in her step as she
 skips towards me with exciting school news

I think EXCITEMENT is in the air.....whatever it is...the children are excited!!

The weather is beautiful and smiles are everywhere....

Day dreaming and cloud watching with my girls is the best way to spend a Sunday afternoon

Princess Fifi, Sweetheart, Cookie and I are watching the clouds drift by as we await Bam's return from camping. We're having a great sunny Sunday at home day dreaming aloud our most wonderful thoughts.
