feeling crafty

What do you get when you have tissue paper, cotton string, plastic cording and some jump rings laying around?
You have the fundamental elements for crafting tissue pom pom and scoubidou lanyards.

The girls spent the day scoubidou square weaving lanyards and bracelets to attach to everyone's backpacks and wrists. Plus they had enough imagination left over to craft festive pom poms. Sweetheart's best friend Katia has been with us since yesterday. And according to Katia, she plans on staying another night as well. Katia has two older brothers and spending time with three little girls around her age is perfectly fun.

Ceiling fan on full speed doesn't seem to disturb the pommies or pink butterflies on ceiling.
The girls loved making big fluffy and full puffy pink tissue paper pom poms for the ceiling.

I love this perspective view of the pommy in the back

Do you remember making scoubidou lanyards in girl scouts, summer camp or art class in school?
