"mummy please pass the green chile"

No school for Princess Fifi due to student / parent / teacher conference.

Fifi's conference went very well.......or at least as well as an A+ student can do.

But in Fifi's opinion there is always room for improvement.

She always amazes me with her determination, skill and drive to do her very best.

I'm so very, very proud of her! 

What a gem!!

In honor of her splendid grades I decided to treat her to a very special lunch.

One of her favorite places to dine is Mary and Tito's New Mexican Restaurant in the North Valley.

On this rare 'eat out' occasion we had the most delicious New Mexican cuisine.

I ordered the combination plate: taco, relleno, enchilada with beans and rice smothered in green chile.

Fifi ordered the Navajo taco deluxe with a side of green chile.
--She always orders her chile on the side, just in case it is too hot--

Todays variety of green chile was absolutely to perfect consistency of tingly on the tongue but not too hot to swallow with just the right amount of making our heads itch.

(strange but true fact: hot chile makes our head itch.......hahaha......)

Large glass of ice cold water **with lemon wedges**

chips and salsa (homemade--not the stuff in a jar!)

And a basket of super warm soft flour tortillas.

We ate and told stories and giggled like best friends.

 Our Mum and Daughter day was perfect.

So was the food at Mary and Titos.
