We're in HOT Oklahoma City and everything is......OK!

We made a stop at the Oklahoma Federal Building Memorial.

Tragic what happened.....Though this city has really pulled through.

 Downtown Oklahoma has been rebuilt and the red brick district looks great.

We took a slight detour because we missed the Kilpatrick turnpike exit.

So quite on accident we will reconnect with the turnpike but not before we go through some beautiful Oklahoma countryside.

Many campers are headed towards Arcadia Lake for the holiday weekend.

What a beautiful Lake......so pristine, clean, clear........great family destination!!

We stopped for gas and a stretch break at a super fun place called Pops. 

 The architecture of this place is amazing and the design is perfectly fun and the concept and convenience is perfect. 

The marketing idea is pop; as in soda pop. 

They carry thousands of brands of bottled soda from all around the world.

Hundreds of regular flavors as well as many uncommon and novelty flavors. 

Fifi chose a grape Uva Uva from El Salvador
Sweetheart chose a Key Lime House brand
 Cookie chose a Coconut flavor from the Caribbean
and
 Bam chose two sodas(one to drink and one for fun)
One House Root beer and a novelty soda labeled dog drool flavor.

 I had a southern dutch Sarsaparilla soda which was more fun to say than to drink.

Its time to make a stop...... we're in Amarillo, Texas and the Don Harrington Discovery Center is a perfect place to get out.
We love the Discovery center!!

Afterward we worked up quite an appetite so we lunched at the
 Big Texan.

We rode the free limo to and from the restaurant.
The kids loved IT.......especially since the limo had bull horns on the hood!!!

We were thrilled and amused by the driver, he told us some great stories about the town......he gave us a real insight about the area.

I remember earlier........I saw a roadrunner in our backyard on the swing set as we were packing up the van.

I thought I'd snapping a few shots of that silly guy.
It was funny at the time----

Oh geez!!
We're getting ready for holiday.......... can you say, ROAD TRIP!!
There is so much to pack for five................the clothes, the swim stuff, the electronics, the cords, the cooler, the snacks, the water.

Oh my!!

 My mind is frantically running in all directions.....trying to make sure I don't forget a thing.
Plus it doesn't help that the ice in the cooler is melting so QUICKLY......
It's a SUPER HOT DAY today
My packing efforts are closing in.....our van ready!!

Bam, Fifi, Sweetheart and Cookie have their bags, blankies, pillows and stuffies.

I think we're ready to go!!!!!!!!

celebrate.........

Yesterday, we gathered to honor Cookie, for her First Eucharist.
It was a nice ceremony held at the church.

Cheii, Nana,(grandparents) Uncle (my brother) and Davon (Auntie) joined my little family for the celebration.

It was very well organized. (Thank you Ms. Sinatra)

 Cookie looked so very lovely in her white dress with veil in her hair.
The night before Nana and I searched all over town for shoes to go with Cookie's dress.
(It was a last minute situation...... the dressy shoes Cookie owned didn't fit anymore!!!)
Lucky for us Nana found some super cute shoes for Cookie at Kohls.

After the ceremony we decided to lunch in honor of Cookie's sacrament.
It was a time to relax and enjoy the loving feeling we were surrounded with.....
I love celebrations and family.
I hope we can have more times like this....♡

Good question.....

First off......I love being mom to four of the most wonderful children.

(Bam is my son and I have four beautiful daughters; Fifi, Sweetheart and Cookie)

We enjoy life and all it has to give us.

The good and the bad.........It's all worth writing about.

I want something for us to look back on...... nostalgia.

This blog is our sharing and caring for our family, our friends and the WORLD.
